REID TO REPRESENT CANADA

Congratulations to Burnaby Express forward Brodie Reid who was named on Wednesday to Team Canada West for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge in Camrose Alberta.

Reid was part of the first 25 players named to the roster, which will eventually be cut down to 22.

Last season Brodie exploded for 52 goals which was 2nd in the BCHL behind only Hunter Bishop of the Vernon Vipers who led the league with 57.

Injuries have limited Reid to just 4 games this season. He's put up 4 goals and 2 assists in that time.

Reid becomes the third player from the Express to play in the tournament. Kyle Turris joined captain Tyler McNeely in the inaugural tournament in 2006.

In total the BCHL led all 5 leagues represented with 9 players selected.

The tournament runs from November 2-9 from Camrose Alberta.

Canada West is seeking its third consecutive gold medal.

The championship game will be broadcast across Canada on TSN.
