BCHL GRAD EMERGENCY CALL UP FOR SHARKS

Goaltender Jordan White who played in the BCHL with Penticton and Prince George from 2004-09 and is now playing at UBC, got the call of a life time today to backup Anti Niemi when the Sharks play the Canucks.

Antero Nittymaki got hurt at the morning skate today leaving the Sharks without a backup goaltender for tonights game. So the call went out to UBC Head Coach Milan Dragicevic who then called White off the ice from practice. The paper work to allow White to be eligible to play was then signed before the NHL's 2pm deadline.

White made a name for himself when he stood on his head with the Prince George Spruce Kings stopping 91 of 93 shots in a 3-2 Prince George 5 overtime win over the Camrose Kodiaks in the 2007 RBC Cup Semi final. Jason Yuel scored the game winning goal in the longest game on Royal Bank Cup history.
