WHEELING AND DEALING THE DEFENCE

The Express have made a couple of moves on defence. Dillan Walker was traded to the Trenton Golden Hawks of the OJHL in exchange for future considerations. The 19 year old defenceman was in his first season with the Express and had 3 assists in 21 games.

To fill Walker's spot on the backend, they made a seperate move getting bigger and more experienced. They acquired 20 year old defenceman Mike Mciag from the Carleton Place Canadians of the CCHL in exchange for future considerations.

Mciag stands 6'0 and weighs in at 192 pounds. He has 3 goals and 8 assists in 24 games. He also chipped in on the powerplay with 2 goals and 4 assists with the man advantage. Last year he had 4 goals and 23 assists in 51 games.

The Express would like to welcome Mike to the club and wish Dillian the best with Trenton.

Here's a few links to videos of Mciag in action. He's the right handed shot wearing #16.
