Here's the list of the Express award winners for the 2017-18 at their annual banquet.
MOST POPULAR PLAYER: Josh Bruce
He was acquired by the Express in November in a trade with the Powell River Kings. In 38 games with the Express this season he provided 8 goals and 5 assists for 13 points.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Will Lawerence
As a graduating 20 year old Lawerence played an even 100 regular season games in an Express uniform. He was recognized for his contribution to the community for the Express who are very committed to giving back to the Coquitlam area.
TOP SCORER & TOP FORWARD: Eric Linell
Led the Express with 28 goals and 46 points during the 2017-18 season. He committed to the University of Connecticut for the 2018-19 season.
MOST IMPROVED PLAYER: Jordan Schulting
Schulting led Express blue liners with 7 goals and was second among defensemen in points with 24. He is committed to UMass-Lowell.
UNSUNG HERO: Landon Fuller
Had his rights acquired by the Express in January of 2017 and played 38 games this season bringing a physical element to the blueline.
TOP DEFENSEMAN: Troy Robillard
The 3rd year blue liner dressed in all 58 games this season and was the top scoring defenseman with 26 points and playing many minutes against the opposition's best players.
ROOKIE OF THE YEAR: Joshua Wildauer
Led all Express players with 23 assists and was second in overall scoring with 34 points.
MVP: Brock Hamm & Eric Linell
Hamm posted 10 wins and 1 shutout following his mid-season acquisition. He posted a 2.91 GAA with 1 shutout. His .911 save percentage was 11th in the BCHL.
Linell's 28 goals were 8th best in the BCHL. He had 4 game winning goals including two in overtime.
3 STARS AWARD: Eric Linell
Awarded to the player with the most inclusions in the post game 3 stars.
HARD HAT AWARD: Lucas Wong
Wong split the season as a forward and a defenseman. His versatility and physicality made him a very popular player in the room and among fans.
HERO OF THE NIGHT: Brock Hamm
Along the way to becoming the co-winner of the MVP Brock Hamm had plenty of excellent games with key saves to back stop the Express to victory.
