In addition to the Express trading former captain Mike Leidl and All Star Cam Brodie to Vernon in exchange for forward John Digness and future considerations, the Express have also sent forward Brent Vandenberg to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for future considerations.

Vandenberg came to the Express in a late November trade that saw Brodie Reid head to Penticton.

In 15 games with the Express, Vandenberg was a point per game player. Scoring 5 goals and 10 assists for 15 points.

Vandenberg gives the league's highest scoring team just a little more offensive depth for their run at a Fred Page Cup and possibly beyond.

For full Express trade deadline coverage tune into tonight's broadcast on the BCHL Fan zone network starting at 7:15.

I forgot to mention this in my previous posting, but I would like to wish Vandenberg, Leidl and Brodie best of luck in their new addresses. And thank you for your contributions to the Express this season.
