Coquitlam Express forward Massimo Lamacchia is the British Columbia Hockey League's Player of the Week for the week ending February 20, the league announced Monday.

With Coquitlam needing a win last weekend to qualify for the playoffs, the Vaughn, Ont. native was at his best as he notched five goals and four assists in three games. He also earned a pair of first star nods.

In the playoff-spot-clinching victory, Lamacchia had a goal and three helpers as the Express downed the Surrey Eagles 7-4. The Brown University commit then went off for a hat trick and one assist in a 10-5 romp over the Salmon Arm SilverBacks.

Lamacchia finishes the regular season wth 74 points, most on the Express and 10th in the BCHL.

Honourable mentions this week go to Coquitlam Express forward Jason Grecica (three games, one goal, eight assists), Westside Warriors forward Quinn Gould (three games, two goals, five assists, one 1st Star, one 2nd Star), and Vernon Vipers forward Bryce Kakoske (three games, two goals, four assists, one 2nd Star).
