EXPRESS TRIO OF TRADES

The Express have made three seperate trades. In the deals that have brought in players to the Express future considerations have gone the other way.

They acquired forward Joshua Bruce (99) from the Powell River Kings and defenseman Jonathan Sheardown (98) from the Nipawin Hawks (SJHL).



Bruce from Surrey has played 25 career BCHL games with the Powell River Kings and Surrey Eagles. This season he has 1 assist in 4 games with Powell River. Last year he split the season with 3 games in Surrey and 18 in Powell River. Bruce has 2 goals and 5 assists for 7 points in his BCHL career. He also dressed for 6 games last year with Vancouver and Saskatoon of the WHL scoring 1 goal.

Sheardown started the season with the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL with 1 assist in 5 games. He was then traded to Nipawin for future considerations where he didn't dress for a game before being acquired by the Express.

The New Westminster native spent the previous two seasons with the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs of the BC Major Midget league. In 16-17 he was a point per game player with 17 goals and 23 assists in 40 games.

Defenseman Hunter Fraser has been traded to the Brockville Braves of the CCHL for future considerations. Fraser played 10 games with the Express this season registering 1 goal and 1 assist.
